March Madness Turf Series
SAVE THE DATE
-
SAVE THE DATE -
The March Madness Turf Series offers teams high-quality pre-season, full-field turf competition in a flexible, non-traditional format. Instead of a single tournament weekend, teams can self-schedule friendly matches across any of the four weekends in March.
March | Grand Rapids, MI
-
Just like a traditional tournament, the first step is registration. Teams will register through Cognito Forms with a $50 upfront payment. Once registration closes, all registered contacts will receive a link to a Google Sheet, which will include opponent contacts, available field slots, and other key details. From there, coaches can immediately begin self-scheduling matches. All official event communication will come from Events@michiganfutbolacademy.com. The payment link can be found in the ‘payment’ section.
-
March Madness ran as a traditional weekend tournament with three guaranteed games—but Michigan weather is unpredictable. We’ve reimagined the event with a new ‘friendly’ style format offering the same mission, the same competition, that’s more reliable, more affordable, and built to get teams ready for the season ahead.
DATES
March 6-8
March 13-15

After registration closes, all registered contacts will receive access to a Google Sheet that serves as the event hub. Coaches can connect directly with one another to arrange matches based on mutual weekend and field availability. All schedules will be overseen by WMS staff, who are available to assist with scheduling as needed.
-
Teams are required to pay a $50 entry fee, no matter how many games are played (1–5). Payment is due the Monday after matches concludes. Teams have the option to compete within their age format or play up an age group. Pricing is determined by field size.
Example: a U8 team playing 4v4 may schedule a match against a U9 team playing 7v7. Pricing is determined by field size.
